Chris Rock’s “Selective Outrage” stand-up special, Netflix’s first foray into live entertainment, debuted on March 4 live and debuted to encouraging numbers. Despite having a brief window of availability, the special reached No. 7 on the Netflix Top 10 US ranking for English-language TV from February 27 to March 5. (The first day and a few hours of viewership were recorded within this week’s window because the show aired late on Saturday night.)
Live from Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre, Rock’s first standup show following the infamous 2022 Oscar slap was one of several live offerings on Saturday as Netflix accompanied it with pre- and post-show coverage featuring appearances from Ronnie Chieng, Leslie Jones, Deon Cole, and Arsenio Hall, among others, as well as appearances and commentary from Amy Schumer, Cedric the Entertainer, Ice-T, Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin Hart, Paul McCartney, Sarah Silverman and Wanda Sykes.
The special had its US premiere first and has not yet been included in Netflix’s global charts. In other TV news, “Outer Banks” Season 3 topped the English TV List with 99 million hours seen for the second week. With 34 million and 27.7 million total viewing hours, seasons 1 and 2 continued to rank high.

Season 2 of the sexy drama “S*x/Life,” which debuted at No. 2 with 43.9 million hours watched, is also added to the list this week. The series’ debut season also made a comeback on the list at No. 8 with 19.6 million hours.

Concerning unscripted programming, “Perfect Match” (42.7 million hours viewed), “Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal” (33.4 million hours considered), and Season 5 of “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” (26.2 million hours viewed) all made a comeback to the list, taking third, fifth, and seventh place, respectively. Additionally, after its March 3 launch with 16.2 million hours viewed, “Next In Fashion” Season 2, starring supermodel Gigi Hadid and designer Tan France just squeaked onto the list at No. 10.
With 42.62 million hours watched, “We Have a Ghost” maintained its top spot on the English films list and charted in the top 10 in 93 nations. The Strays, a brand-new addition that debuted on February 22, received 14.57 million hours of viewing. With 7.5 million hours of viewing, “Your Home or Mine” became popular.
