Call Her Suzy Says Eddie Izzard: She Adds to Her Name So Followers “Don’t “Make an Error”

Eddie Izzard has taken on a fresh name, one that the British comedian claims she has desired since she was a young child. The British comic opened up to Matt Forde on Tuesday’s episode of “The Political Party” podcast about how she identifies, her pronouns, and her new name.

“I’ll also add the name Suzy, which I’ve wanted to be since I was 10 years old, said Izzard, who came out as transgender in 1985. I’m going to play Suzy Eddie Izzard, then. That’s how I’m going to operate so that people can make their own decisions.”

The comedian announced that she will continue to go by the moniker “Eddie Izzard,” which she chose to keep for notoriety. Izzard claimed that after declaring in 2020 that she will use the pronouns she/her, she began considering other names.

When Forde asked earlier in the podcast whether people “second-guess themselves” when it comes to the comedian’s pronouns, Izzard responded, “I make mistakes with my own pronouns.” Prior to receiving an honorary degree from Swansea University in July 2019, the “Oceans Twelve” actor claimed she was considering altering her pronouns.

She remembered the occasion when a chancellor used the pronouns she/her to refer to Izzard and cited her accomplishments. She explained, “I was merely having she/her pronouns in a speech about me beating me. “And I informed [the chancellor] of this afterward because it made me feel better. It simply felt wonderful.

I then thanked you for that.”And so I created a declaration, ‘I like she/her, I don’t mind he/him. No one is immune to error, “Said she.
