Kim Kardashian shows up in Drake’s new song, which is a big surprise. The rapper has never been afraid to use his music to cause trouble, but “Rescue Me” may be his darkest song ever.
Even though he seemed to end his beef with Kardashian’s ex-husband Kanye West a few years ago, Drake’s “Rescue Me” lyrics seem to reignite the Kimye drama by using lines from Kardashian’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians show where she talks about her divorce.
Drake was a guest on the SiriusXM Radio show The Fry Yiy Show on March 31, when the surprise drop happened. While on the air, Drake played his song, which was unofficially called “Rescue Me.” One part of the song caught everyone’s attention right away.

After the first chorus, a short clip of Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian talking to each other is played. “I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy,” Kardashian can be heard telling her mom. “Remember that”
What made a lot of fans raise their eyebrows was the context of the quote. The audio is from the series finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which aired soon after Kardashian filed for divorce from West at the beginning of 2021. The episode was mostly about how Kardashian was planning for her future and getting over her marriage to West.
Drake used the KUWTK sample about a year and a half after he and West ended their public feud in November 2021. Before they agreed to stop fighting, Drake and Kanye West would often take shots at each other in their songs.

This turned into an all-out war when West’s labelmate Pusha T put out a diss track that said Drake had a secret son. After that, they fought with each other for three years, until things seemed to calm down.
But lately, it seems like Drake isn’t happy to just keep playing nice. His album Her Loss, which came out in 2022, had some shady lines that were aimed at West, and the Kardashian sample on “Rescue Me” brings up an old beef.
