Recent success for Funcom’s survival MMO Conan Exiles can be attributed to the Age of Sorcery narrative, which features a showdown between the player and the tainted sorcerer Kurak.
What the developer has in store for the game after the Age of Sorcery is unknown. However, gamers on all platforms can look forward to additional story content, exciting new features, and challenging new foes and bosses.
Conan Exiles has been out for more than six years, beginning with its Early Access release, but does the game offer cross-platform play given that it is accessible on PC and console? In this tutorial, we look at whether or not Conan Exiles is playable across platforms.
Is Conan Exiles Cross Platform?
Since its debut in 2018, gamers have been eager to get their hands on the game and start their journey across the savage lands of the Exiled Lands after being rescued by the renowned Conan, the Barbarian.
Since then, Funcom has released several cosmetic packs and the expansive Isle of Siptah for Conan Exiles, further fleshing out the game’s deep and varied setting.
Conan Exiles official account shared a post on Twitter:-
There is no crossplay. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Players of the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming versions of the game have understandably been curious about cross-platform play in the survival MMO.
There are extensive multiplayer features in the game. Therefore, allowing console and PC gamers to share multiplayer lobbies would make it logical. Conan Exiles still doesn’t support cross-play between PC and Xbox platforms in 2023, despite the developer saying that this “is not something” they’ve intended at launch.
Despite this, if you’re playing Conan Exiles on Steam, you may still interact with other PC gamers who bought the game through Epic Games Store by joining their own lobbies.
The same holds true on the console side since Xbox One players are compatible with Xbox Series X|S games. Also, PS4 users may go into lobbies with PS5 gamers, but Xbox users are out of luck.

Why Don’t Conan Exiles Have a Cross Platform?
It’s unclear why crossplay isn’t available in Conan Exiles. It’s no secret that Funcom hasn’t always been the quickest to respond to player suggestions, but things have picked up since the release of The Isle of Siptah expansion. Lots of player-requested enhancements have been included since then.
This contains long-overdue changes, such as rethinking skill mechanics and modifying the construction system and mechanics to simulate modifications, including transmogrification choices for armor and eliminating building limits from NPC camps.
It’s not uncommon for developers to be indifferent to what their players desire. Still, I don’t think that’s the case with Funcom—the absence of cross-platform play results from unspoken tensions between the industry’s many publishers and platform developers.
Despite their history of collaboration, Sony and Microsoft are now direct rivals, which might hamper cross-platform play and console modding. The fact that the Conan Exiles have more important problems is perhaps another major factor.
Though our shared appreciation for Conan is undeniable, I think most would acknowledge its many flaws. Fortunately, Funcom has been working to address many of the game’s problems, which must be resolved before cross-play can become a top priority.
The absence of consistent material has been cited as one of the biggest problems with Conan Exiles. Although this is true, Funcom has mechanisms to introduce consistent content in the following months and years.
The biggest reason for the lack of crossplay across PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Conan Exiles is that the game has more fundamental problems that must be fixed before crossplay can be included.
