The body of the 19-year-old man who went overboard while riding on a private boat in Lake Como near the university was found after a search that lasted more than 12 hours. Graham McGrath was one of 13 passengers on the ship during the collision.
Around 7 o’clock in the evening, numerous crews arrived at the scene, according to LCSO. On the boat, deputies employed a side-scan sonar, which is used to find and photograph objects on the lake bottom.
Images have revealed that the lake is far more profound than anticipated, reaching depths of 30 to 50 feet. The sheriff claims that this is currently a death investigation. The precise cause of death is not yet known.

As they continue their “death investigation,” the office does not believe there was foul play, but they have not ruled it out either. On Wednesday evening, Marceno stated that there had been “14 occupants on a boat with a capacity of 16” and that since the lake’s water was “dark,” all hands were needed for the search. It’s cloudy. It’s dark. It’s challenging terrain.”
Authorities claim to have spoken with the remaining passengers on the boat when McGrath fell overboard; none are university students. Marceno promised on Thursday that “we will determine precisely what happened.”
