Now two days left to go before California’s gubernatorial recall election. And with the increasing craze the current governor’s team and his opponent, Larry Elder, have already shown us some indication that they’re ready for legal challenges.
In a recent interview with ABC News on Saturday, Elder was asked continuously on various occasions by Zohreen Shah if he would accept the results of Tuesday’s election. Even after repeated asks, he avoided answering and suggested that as long as the governor is recalled, the election is completely valid. He also said so many people are going to vote to have recalled, and he is not worried about any fraud.

But Larry Elder earlier this week made some not possible claims of all the frauds that might take place at a campaign event, he said that the recall could face similar “shenanigans” as many Republicans said happened in last year’s presidential election, but other than that there is no evidence of any election fraud.

Larry Elder’s campaign contains an election integrity section on his website, where anyone who wishes to vote for Larry can fill out a form to report any suspicious or wrong incidents of voter fraud and sign a petition for further investigation of the results of the recall.

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s campaign team said they were prepared for any lawsuits but wouldn’t explain specifics during a campaign stop Thursday.
In the interview with Shah, Larry Elder also mentioned questions about few controversial statements that were made by him in the past, such as saying slave owners should get compensated. He then said to cover everything he had said about the election. He then continued that the election is taking place as people are unhappy with how California is being governed for the last two years.
If he were to be elected, Elder already has set his business planned. He said the first thing He will be doing is to revoke the requirement for state workers that they are required to be tested once a week and they are to required wear a mask. He then said he doesn’t believe science supports that. He said that these are the issues brought up by COVID-19 that Newsom’s political career and now, have bolstered.
Recent polls about the recall election seem promising for Newsom, as almost 56.2% of voters said they are going to vote to keep him, and this has been increased by a 4% increase from last week’s reported average poll.
Newsom told ABC News that democrats never took it seriously until six or seven weeks ago. He then continued to say that people started being active in this reality, and they are closing that gap every single day and they are going to pull this thing out. The excitement comes as President Joe Biden is set to go to California to attend a campaign with Newsom on Monday which will give the voters a final push and motivate them.

But Newsom is getting a lot of new controversies in the final stretch. Actress Rose McGowan recently known as Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, tried to bribe her against coming forward and blaming her for s*xual assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein. A reporter for Siebel Newsom told ABC News the allegation is completely true and adding, It’s very disappointing to see political opponents launch these false attacks just days before the election.
