Zuri Craig Cause of De@th: How Old Was He at the Time of His De@th?

Former “America’s Got Talent” finalist Zuri Craig, who worked on several Tyler Perry shows, passed away on Friday at 44, his family reported on Sunday. The musician’s family mourned him as a “beloved son, brother, and friend,” in a statement posted on social media by Craig’s longtime singing partner, Jeffery Lewis, and others. “We thank you in advance for your prayers,” the statement read. “Please honor our privacy during this unimaginable time of mourning.”

On October 21, 2022, band member Zuri Craig died at 44. At the moment, the reason for de@th remains unknown. An inquiry for comment made on Monday went unanswered by Craig’s production business, Zo Re Mi Entertainment.

The CraigLewis Band, Craig, and Lewis collaboration participated in the 10th season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” in 2015. The Atlanta-based musical group placed fifth in the competition by giving stirring performances of songs by James Brown, Mary J. Blige, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, and Madcon.

Lewis posted on Instagram on Sunday, “On yesterday I lost my brother, my friend. I am broken, completely devastated. I love you more than words can express. The CraigLewis Band Forever! Rest In Peace, My Friend.”

Along with performing songs alongside Lewis and competing on “AGT,” Craig shared the stage with Lewis in performances of Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Big Happy Family” (2010) and “A Madea Christmas” (2011). Additionally, he portrayed a choir member in the 2011 movie adaptation of “Madea’s Big Happy Family.”
