This week, PrimeXBT debuted its new iOS application offering access to the full suite of its investing and trading tools, which prompted discussion around the trading community about which other apps at this point could compete with all that’s offered under one roof.
As such, we’ve put together a list of the best apps for investors and traders available for iOS devices, that offer value to the trading community at large for one reason or many. We’re also explaining why we’ve chosen each application, starting with the new app launch that made us put together this list.
We put PrimeXBT at the top of the list, not just because it was the spark that caused us to create the list here, nor because it just launched. We are starting off with it because we are simply shocked by the sheer amount of features available from a single account. There are extensive charting tools, bank-grade security, long and short positions on forex, commodities, stock indices, and crypto, and much more.
The latest application update also provides full access to the Covesting copy trading module, allowing users to copy the trades of strategy managers who show success in fully transparent leaderboards. Users can also monitor their portfolio, any positions, make deposits and withdrawals, buy Bitcoin, and of course, trade using advanced trading tools.
Although the PrimeXBT margin trading Bitcoin exchange offers built-in charting tools, the TradingView application offers access to the entire experience and community full of traders who share ideas about what they believe the market will do next.
The tools offered let investors and traders know when to buy or go long, and when to sell or short. On top of all of the most popular trading indicators and oscillators, unique to TradingView is their pine script editor, which lets users create their own custom tools. More advanced accounts are of course, subscription-based, but the free tools provided get the job done well.
Acorn is a lot less about trading and much more about investing in assets and doing so slowly with as little as $3 or $5 per month. Acorn plays on the idea of users “squirreling away” money, much like the small animal with a bushy tail stores acorns for later use.
The app gets creative letting users to do things like round up a small amount from their paycheck and helps offer tools for families to grow their nest together. Acorn is used by millions each day and backed by trusted investors such as Blackrock and CNBC.
Stash is yet another investing app much like Acorn, except there are some other unique features that make it worthy of this list also. The application also includes access to a “stock-back” card, which pays users accounts with stock shares for spending on everyday items like groceries.
Stash also offers banking and investment services that aren’t offered by others on this list here. The account is also more geared toward saving money, more so than making it, for those that are more aggressive with their profit goals should seek elsewhere.
Robinhood is somewhat a no-brainer when it comes to iOS apps that should make the list, even if they also bring with them a lot of notoriety. Robinhood is where meme stock traders and Dogecoin enthusiasts tend to make the most noise.
The company was recently in hot water over halting GME shares due to pressure from regulators. The controversy broke trust with users, but it hasn’t really hurt their business. In their latest move, Robinhood seeks to launch self-custody crypto wallets so users can own assets and send them off-platform. The lack of this feature currently hurts Robinhood with the cryptocurrency crowd.
MarketWatch is an iOS app that offers an easy access way to view the media company’s news updates and market reports. MarketWatch literally always has its eyes on global markets, and the news it provides can help tip traders off to abrupt changes in a trend, long before they materialize on price charts.
News sites like MarketWatch are a critical piece of fundamental investing and trading, as the news cycle, whether it is politics or the weather itself, can have a drastic impact on global markets.
The Ledger Live iOS application is a critical tool for the self-custody of crypto assets. Storing coins for the long term is recommended to be done via cold storage hardware wallets that aren’t connected to the internet. This keeps hackers out of reach from any assets.
The Ledger Live app works as a cold storage wallet for just about any crypto-asset you could imagine. It also tracks the prices of these assets in real-time, making it a vital portfolio monitoring tool. The only challenge there is that no one keeps all their assets in cold storage, so it won’t ever be a fully accurate look at one’s capital.
We love Lolli. It made the list because it is one of the few iOS apps out there that can earn you Bitcoin for free. The only catch is that you have to purchase items or products from one of Lolli’s many partners to be eligible for BTC back.
Rates reach more than 20% with select partners, and partners include major brands like Best Buy, Macy’s, GameStop, and several others. The iOS also lets users open up a treasure box for a daily stack of free BTC, which can earn users up to $100 randomly.
Any of these iOS applications can help one on their path toward financial success. The list was carefully curated so that each offers a unique experience and value so that users could even download all of them at the same time, and find something unique and exciting on each.
Some of these platforms are more of a one-stop-shop than others, which could help anyone conflicted on which apps to choose to make their final decision. Convenience is why mobile devices like iPhones have become so popular, so be sure to choose an app that offers convenience, and features in one.
