See Season 4 Marks the Epic Final Chapter in Baba Voss’ Journey on Apple TV+

Over a year had gone after Jason Momoa’s Baba Voss’s enemy brother Edo was defeated in the third season of Apple TV+’s post-apocalyptic drama See. Baba Voss then left his family behind to live remotely in the wilderness.

The future of humanity is threatened by the development of a new and terrible form of sighted weaponry, so of course, he wouldn’t stay away for very long: He soon makes his way back to Paya to defend his tribe.

Fans, however, knew this would be Baba Voss’ last bout before the season’s launch in August. In June, Apple TV+ revealed that See would not return for Season 4.

In a press statement, showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Tropper said, “We are thrilled to share this epic final chapter of See, which delivers all the intense drama, riveting action, and heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect, as well as what we think is a deeply satisfying conclusion to our story.

“Building a world without sight was a particularly unique and continuous challenge that was met through the passionate and thoughtful collaboration of a phenomenally talented and diverse team both in front of and behind the camera. The show has been a monumental labor of love for all involved, and we are eternally grateful for the way See has been embraced by viewers around the world.”

Tropper thought once more of See’s three-season streak as the date got near. He thanked viewers for “embracing this strange, violent, complicated world so passionately” since 2019 in an Instagram post on October 13. “Tomorrow (or tonight), the explosive series finale of SEE drops on [Apple TV+] with all the action, drama, and emotion we could muster to say goodbye to this beautiful beast of a show,” he wrote in the caption.

“It wasn’t an easy decision to end the show, but as Baba Voss and Rama walk off into the sunset (or fire?), I just wanted to send my love and gratitude to the entire See family.”

The series has undoubtedly received its fair share of praise as well. It is set in a terrible and primitive future, hundreds of years after humanity has lost its capacity to see.

She received the Ruderman Family Foundation Seal of Genuine Representation in 2020 because it has cast and crew members who are blind or have impaired vision.

Apple also said in September 2021 that See Season 2 has become the most-watched returning drama series on the streaming site in the first two weeks after release.

Alfre Woodard (Paris), Hera Hilmar (Maghra), Sylvia Hoeks (Queen Kane), Christian Camargo (Tamacti Jun), Archie Madekwe (Kofun), Nesta Cooper (Haniwa), Yadira Guevara-Prip (Bow Lion), and Olivia Cheng were also part of the Season 3 cast (Charlotte).

Fans can expect to see more of Momoa on Apple TV+ even though the actor’s portrayal of Baba Voss will end, as Tropper said. Momoa will star in, write, and executive produce the drama Chief of War, Variety reported in April.

The series, for which Apple has already placed an order for eight episodes, tells the tale of Hawaii’s colonization and unification from the perspective of its native people.
