American professional basketball player Lorenzen Vern-Gagne Wright played for the National Basketball Association for 13 seasons (November 4, 1975 – July 19, 2010). Los Angeles Clippers selected him in the seventh round of the NBA Draft in 1996.

In the 1996 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers selected Wright, a University of Memphis player, seventh overall. Wright recorded a postseason career-high 17 points on April 26, 1997, as a rookie in a defeat to the Utah Jazz in Game 2. The Clippers ultimately dropped the series.
Wright had a season-high 32 points and 15 rebounds the following year, on December 26, 1997, in a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in overtime. In 1999, Wright transferred to the Atlanta Hawks, where he played for the 2000–01 NBA season, averaging a career-high 12.4 points per game.
