Jar Jar Binks Actor Ahmed Best Returns to Star Wars

After almost two decades, Ahmed Best, the actor best recognized for playing Jar Jar Binks in the three Star Wars prequel films, has returned to the series. Best, 49, appeared as a Jedi named Kelleran Beq in the newest episode of the Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian, “Chapter 20: The Foundling.”

The actor made an appearance in a flashback scene depicting events from Revenge of the Sith (2005) when Jedi-affiliated clone troopers betrayed their Jedi generals during the series’ infamous Order 66, which largely destroyed the enigmatic Jedi order.
