Victoria Justice Celebrates 30th Birthday With New Song, Confirms Debut Album is ‘definitely’ Coming
Victoria Justice celebrates her 30th birthday on Feb. 19. Justice will release her long-awaited single, “Last Man Standing,” today after a year of teasing new music. Justice informs Variety that the release coincides with her birthday. “This song really catches a lot of that energy, and it’s entertaining, and it’s sort of seductive, and it’s got these very strong themes of female empowerment, so it just felt like a really wonderful fit.”
Justice’s euphoric vocals on “Last Man Remaining” accompany a four-chord acoustic guitar line. The chorus showcases the singer’s high-pitched voice. Justice’s “Too F*ckin’ Lovely” and “Treat Me” cement her pop icon status.
Justice has six singles, including her latest. “Afterlife of the Party,” “Trust,” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again” feature Justice’s vocals. The rising pop artist is determined to release her first studio album.
“I’m releasing an album,” Justice says. “I’m working on singles right now, but I can’t say that’s done. I’m proud with my current songs.”
Justice would like to work with Raye, widely known for the TikTok viral single “Escapism,” if given the chance. She smiles at the fantasy collaboration and recites the song’s famous phrase, “A little background if you care to listen,” in Raye’s British accent.
Justice will also star in “California King” and “The Tutor” in the near future, continuing her acting career. In the latter thriller, Justice plays her first pregnant role alongside Garrett Hedlund and Noah Schnapp. “It was pretty funny, just putting on my tiny one-piece pregnant suit,” Justice recalls of the odd role as she considers having children. I rubbed it often. I would constantly rub it.”
Justice’s recent role in Netflix’s rom-com “A Perfect Pairing” shows him embracing mature roles. She seems unlikely to turn back. Justice, who played Lola Martinez on “Zoey 101,” will not return for the reboot. On Jan. 12, Paramount+ announced a sequel featuring Jamie Lynn Spears, Erin Sanders, Sean Flynn, Matthew Underwood, Christopher Massey, Abby Wilde, and Jack Salvatore returning their roles.
“The timing of everything didn’t work out, but I’ve been in touch with Jamie and the entire cast, and they couldn’t be more kind and supportive,” Justice adds. I want to be with them. I enjoyed it. I loved making it. I love that cast—we had so much fun, and I love them.”
Justice considered rebooting one of her previous pieces, but she was unsure. She feels some stories should remain untold. Justice proudly acknowledged the profound impact of “Victorious” and “Zoey 101” on so many children.
I’m grateful. Justice says, “I’m happy where I am and optimistic for the future.” “I’m excited to release my new music. I hope it’s loved and resonates. I simply want to convey my gratitude to my followers and the individuals who have supported me for, I don’t know, like two decades.”
