A lengthy and dramatic South Los Angeles pursuit on a Friday afternoon involved four persons, two cars, and a puppy. Just after noon on Friday, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department identified a person wanted in connection with a carjacking and attempted murder that happened on March 26. This led to the start of the pursuit.
Police were led by a gold pickup truck carrying three people through neighborhood streets close to LAX. A man leaped into the passenger seat of another car that was waiting on the side of the road as the truck slowed down after over an hour of the pursuit, and two women fled on the sidewalk. That vehicle pulled off with a new driver, leading LAPD on another hour-long pursuit.
