The release date and song listing for Kelly Clarkson’s next album have been announced, and you won’t believe who appears on one of the tracks. The three-time Grammy winner revealed the release date for her first album since her divorce, Chemistry, in a social media post on Friday (April 14), along with its dreamy cover art and the confirmation that none other than Steve Martin appears on the album as a guest artist.
On Friday, the album’s two sides and two of its fourteen tracks—”Mine” and “Me”—were revealed to the public for the first time. The album is scheduled for release on June 23. According to Billboard, the famed actor Steve Martin will be featured on the album’s thirteenth track, “I hate love.” Channel 14 of the album is credited as a collaboration with famed drummer Sheila E.
Clarkson announced the news of the singles’ official release on social media with a heartfelt post.
“Having chemistry with someone is an incredible and overwhelming feeling. It’s like you have no choice in the matter. You are just drawn to each other. This can be good and bad,” the American Idol winner’s Instagram post began.
“This album takes you down every path that chemistry could lead you down. We decided to release “mine” and “me” at the same time because I didn’t want to release just one song to represent an entire album or relationship,” she continued. “There are many stages of grief and loss on this album. Each song is a different stage and emotional state.”

Two tracks from the album, “Mine” and “Me,” were released by Clarkson on Friday. “Me” was co-written by “abcdefu” vocalist Gayle. “We decided to release ‘mine’ and ‘me’ simultaneously because I didn’t want to release just one song to represent an entire album or relationship,” she added in her statement.
