Soon after, for $8 million, Searchlight Pictures bought the movie’s distribution rights. On July 14, 2023, the film is slated for theatrical release.

Theater Camp Cast
The film stars Molly Gordon and Ben Platt, as previously mentioned. Though he has appeared in Pitch Perfect and The Politician, Platt is undoubtedly most remembered for his role as Evan Hansen in the Broadway and film versions of Dear Evan Hansen.
You People, Winning Time, Shiva Baby, Good Boys, Booksmart, and Animal Kingdom, are just a few of Gordon’s prior credits.
The Good Doctor’s Noah Galvin, American Vandal’s Jimmy Tatro, The Lost City’s Patti Harrison, Zoolander’s Nathan Lee Graham, The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri, Dollface’s Owen Thiele, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Caroline Aaron, and Ghosted’s Amy Sedaris are among the other actors who play the camp counselors and other adults.
Alan Kim (Minari), Alexander Bello (And Just Like That…), Bailee Bonick (Young Rock), Kyndra Sanchez (Christmas with You), Donovan Colan (Chapelwaite), Vivienne Sachs, and Quinn Titcomb (Christmas with Arwen) are among the young performers portraying the campers.
