Martin Amis, the “literary agitator” and author of the well-known books London Fields, Money, and The Information, passed away at 73. According to The New York Times, his wife, the author Isabel Fonseca, broke the news of his passing by stating that he had been suffering from oesophageal cancer.
Many others paid homage to the writer, including Amis’ UK editor Michal Shavit, who said: “It’s hard to imagine a world without Martin Amis in it.”
Salman Rushdie, a novelist, told the New Yorker that he used to say he wanted to leave behind a shelf of books to say, “From here to here, it’s me.” Now, he has stopped speaking. His friends will sincerely miss him. But we do have a shelf.
Welcome to Derry Release Date
The Welcome to Derry will be released sometime in 2024. As part of the celebration of their streamer’s rebranding to simply Max rather than HBO Max, Warner Bros. acknowledged this through Twitter along with several other announcements.

What is Welcome to Derry About?
Welcome to Derry will begin in the 1960s and gradually build up to the events of the first IT movie, even if there is still a great deal of terrible mystery surrounding the franchise.
While it is not anticipated that Bill Skarsgrd will reprise his role as Pennywise in the season, Derry will continue investigating the antagonist’s background. The two It movies merely made passing references to this.
The meaty 1000+ page horror epic by the author primarily leaves out the details of what Pennywise is and how they relate to the greater “King-verse” Because of this, it will be pretty intriguing to see what Derry takes from the inspiration and how it relates to the movie.
