Many internet users believe this is an attempt to salvage King The Land’s tired storyline. However, the numbers indicate differently, since the show received a double-digit rating of 12%, a rare feat in recent K-Dramas.

Another opinion holds that the competition channel is attempting to manufacture false rumors in order to affect ratings. JTBC has been producing some of the highest-rated shows in recent years, and “King The Land” is following suit.
