What Did Tajh Boyd’s High School Coach Say About Him?
Tajh Boyd played football for the Oscar Smith Tigers in Chesapeake, Virginia. He was a standout player, helping his team win state championships during his sophomore and junior years.
Even though the Tigers finished 9-2 last season, Tajh’s impact went beyond just his performance on the field, as his coach Chris Scott shared:
“Tajh’s impact went far beyond statistics and accolades. Yes, he was a formidable force on the football field, but it was his infectious smile, his positive energy, and his ability to uplift others that truly made him larger than life.”
Although he wasn’t expected to start as a freshman, Tajh Boyd was seen as a future key player for the Liberty Flames’ offensive line. He chose Liberty over offers from other schools like the Jackson State Tigers and Maryland Terrapins.
Tajh Boyd made his commitment to Liberty before his senior year in high school and sadly passed away at just 19 years old.
