After a day of confusion and talk, it seems like Rapper Lil Tay is alive. Her family told TMZ that she’s safe. There were rumors that she might have passed away because of something she posted on Instagram on August 9th, but those rumors were not true.
The Statement Says:
“I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.”
The original post about her death, which has since been taken down from her Instagram account, said that the “outcome was unexpected and has left us all in shock.” It said that her brother had died as well.
Some people online doubted that the post was true because her father and former manager wouldn’t confirm that she was dead, and several police departments that were called by the media didn’t have any reports of her death.

It also made clear that her real name is Tay Tian and not Claire Hope, which was a name that had been used a lot in the news about her before.
After an Instagram post said she had died, both her father and her previous manager, Henry Tsang, said they couldn’t confirm the death of the teen star.
An Interview with The Daily Beast
Tsang told the Daily Beast, “Given how complicated things are right now, I can’t say for sure if the family’s statement is true or not.” In a TikTok post, he said more. The question of whether or not Tian was still living was not answered by Tian’s father.
Police Departments Unaware of Reported Death
Insider also said that the Vancouver Police Department had no reports of her death and that the Los Angeles Police Department had “no information on an investigation into the death of anyone named Claire Hope.”
Tian was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and later moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2018, videos of her when she was 9 years old went popular and brought her to the attention of the public for the first time.
She was cussing and showing off her expensive watches and money. In her short time online, she gained more than 3 million fans on Instagram, where she didn’t post all that often.
A Tribute to XXXTentacion: Her Last Post Before Silence
Lil last post was in June 2018, and it was about the rapper XXXTentacion, who died after being shot near a motorcycle shop in Florida.
In her post, she said that she saw him as a “father figure.” She also became friends with Woah Vicky, a controversial artist.

When the news first came out that she had died, her tribute post for XXXTentacion was flooded with new comments saying, “Rest in peace, X and Tay.”
