Zayn Malik, the former member of One Direction, is a big fan of tattoos! He has more than 60 tattoo designs all over his body, and they’re really cool. Some are intricate and cover his chest, while others are simple and on his arms. They’re a big part of his style.
Zayn explained, “I like tattoos, that’s all. When I was younger, tattoos were rare and people I thought were cool had them.” He got tattoos to stand out and be different. But now, tattoos are common, so they don’t make him unique anymore.
Over time, Zayn got tattoos with meanings. We made a guide to all of Zayn’s tattoos and what they represent. Some of them are quite surprising. We really like the one where he paid tribute to his former One Direction bandmates. And there’s also a tattoo that matches with Louis Tomlinson’s!

Zayn also has tattoos that are related to his love life. He has a tattoo of Gigi Hadid’s eyes, his former long-time girlfriend. They went public with their relationship in 2015, had some ups and downs, but got back together in January 2020. They welcomed their baby girl, Khai, in September the same year.
Zayn wrote on social media when Khai was born, “Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding.”
After that, Zayn and Gigi got matching tattoos to celebrate their daughter. But they broke up in October 2021 because of an incident involving Zayn and Gigi’s mother. Despite this, they’re doing well as co-parents.
Zayn said on a podcast, “We have a really good relationship for Khai, she’s the main importance so yeah it’s going well.”

A Yin and Yang tattooed on his arm
Zayn’s love of tattoos began when he got his first one in September 2011. It was a Yin and Yang on his wrist, but he covered it up with another tattoo a few years later, so it didn’t mean that much to him.
Neck and Arm tattoos
When Zayn shared a selfie on Instagram in October 2021, fans with sharp eyes could see that he had more tattoos. It looks like red ink was used to make these patterns.
Different Tattoos on Arms
Zayn has a big microphone tattooed on the inside of his arm, which is easy to see. As for the rest of his arms, Zayn got a tattoo of a huge tiger on his left arm in 2013.
His Forearm Tattoos
Zayn has tattoos all over both of his arms. Some of them are very personal and full of details, while others are pretty simple and out of the blue. In 2012, he added the word “chillin’.” Since then, he has added his “ZAP” tattoo, “MSG,” and the date “3-12-12,” as well as a robot listening to music on a radio, crossed fingers, and the number six.

In early 2017, Zayn got the word “Love” tattooed on his fingers. On his left hand, he also has a small bird and a few small symbols.
“Khai” on His Wrist in Arabic
Zayn did an Instagram video a few days before his daughter’s name was revealed, and fans saw a new tattoo. Fans on social media are sure that the singer has the word “Khai” written in Arabic on his wrist, but he hasn’t confirmed it yet.
Chest Tattoos
Zayn has tattoos of mandala art on different parts of his body, including his chest. In 2013, Zayn got a tattoo of angel wings on his chest. In January 2018, he added Gigi’s eyes right below the wings.
Words on His Jaw
Zayn shared a rare picture in July 2021, and fans with sharp eyes could see that he had a new tattoo on his jawline.

Zayn’s back tattoo was seen in a rare Instagram photo from September 2020.
