The Flight Attendant Season 2 Ending Explained
In The Flight Attendant Season 2, Cassie Bowden (Kaley Cuoco) struggles with an impersonation beyond her… murdering several times. With power couple and best friends Annie (Zosia Mamet) and Max (Deniz Akdeniz), Cassie investigates this new mystery that threatens her life, trying to find out who is framing her while keeping her new employer, the CIA, including handler Benjamin Berry (Mo McRae) and friend Shane (Griffin Matthews), at bay.
As Cassie investigates and learns how far the duplicate will go to frame her, she doesn’t trust anyone but her best friends. At the end of Episode 7, Cassie is stunned when fellow flight attendant Grace (Mae Martin) nearly kills Shane and Benjamin and reveals herself as the double.
Grace then unexpectedly kills herself in front of Cassie, revealing a much larger plot. The Flight Attendant Season 2 finale—what happens? Cassie is stunned at Grace’s death. Cassie spirals when Dot (Cheryl Hines) tells her Grace wasn’t working alone and there’s another double out there.
The view master says Cassie didn’t die as planned, so when will this strange double kill her? Dot takes Cassie home to freshen up and wash off Grace’s blood before they return to headquarters to calm her down. Santal 33, Annie’s scent on Cassie’s bloodied wig in her baggage, is the most incriminating evidence she’s found all season in Dot’s bathroom.
Cassie’s life falls into order, including Benjamin’s office’s altered psychiatric evaluation. Finally, Annie and Max marry. The two spent the season fighting over whether they were engaged and their future (wedding and kids), but they now agree.
True to their bond and who they are, the two marry at a chapel in Las Vegas with their loved ones, even Cassie running late. After Annie and Max announce that they are beginning a private investigation business, inspired by the couple who nearly killed them, the three closest friends dance as the show ends.
The ending is a satisfying, exciting, and eventful episode that leaves the characters ready to either ride out into the sunset or return to their lives if HBO Max renews The Flight Attendant.
