Fans of Australia’s most popular sport will have to wait until April 13 for the release of the AFL23 video game. JB Pre-orders are available now at Hi-Fi for $79 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players.
For the first time since 2011’s AFL Live, fans and gamers will be able to bond over their shared love of Australian rules football thanks to the return of developer Big Ant Studios.
There will be 18 men’s clubs, and now we have our first glimpse at the AFLW in action, thanks to some leaked screenshots. The game’s features, which include a managerial career path, have also been disclosed.
About 1200 players from the Australian Football League and the Australian Football Women’s League will be featured in the game with “motion-captured animation, photo-realistic likenesses, in-depth skills, and unique player traits powered by Champion Data.”
There has been a change in the appearance of the commentary team from previous games. Daisy Pearce, Daniel Harford, Kelli Underwood, and Jason Bennett are working under the direction of Anthony Hudson and Hamish McLachlan.
Executive GM, Commercial & Consumer Affairs, AFL Kylie Rogers has shared her enthusiasm about the next game.
“We are thrilled to be announcing the upcoming release of AFL 23, with some exciting announcements around the game to come over the coming weeks,” Rogers said.
“The AFL 23 Game is a crucial asset for the AFL to connect with our fans off the field – and we look forward to collaborating with Big Ant Studios to deliver the most exciting and authentic AFL gaming experience yet.”
