Is The Rachael Ray Show Ending?
Rachael Ray is getting ready to film her last episode of syndication: This year marks the end of Rachael Ray, the daytime talk show hosted by the chef, after 17 successful seasons. Variety reports that Rachael Ray’s ratings have fallen and that the show’s host is putting her efforts into a new production firm. Ray said, “I have had 17 wonderful seasons working in daytime television in my more than 20 years in television.”

However, I’ve concluded that the next exciting stage of my broadcasting career is calling me. My interests have shifted from the production and syndication model of talk shows toward a more free-form medium. I can’t wait to showcase and cultivate fresh epicurean talent across mediums.
I’m excited to start working on Free Food Studios, my new production company. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who helped make the Rachael daytime show a success throughout the years. CBS Media Ventures President Steve LoCascio released his statement praising Ray.
Seventeen years ago, when Rachael first aired her show, she revolutionized the daytime television landscape. LoCascio praised her “relatable, down-to-earth demeanor” that “coaxed great stories out of celebrity guests.” She “made cooking accessible to the masses,” he added.
We’re happy to have worked on such a well-received show with Rachael and her crew for so many years. Rachael’s absence on the airwaves will be felt daily, but we’ll always be family. Since its premiere in 2006, Rachael Ray has been nominated for 37 Daytime Emmys, winning three times for Outstanding Talk Show.
2011 Ray also received the People’s Choice Award for Favorite TV Chef. The 54-year-old will be recognized for her work in the industry with an induction into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame in May.
