YG Charges Fans $1k for a Private Dinner With Him Prior to His Upcoming Shows

As a result of demanding exorbitant prices for meet-and-greet opportunities before his performances, YG has fallen out of favor with his audience. The “Who Do You Love?” rapper will celebrate his upcoming birthday with two concerts at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California, according to the rapper’s official website.

The recording artist is inviting fans to eat with him before the performances, which are scheduled for March 10 and 12. However, they will need to spend a significant amount of money to take advantage of the offer. Fans will have to pay $1,000 per person for a meet-and-greet dinner that includes a five-star three-course meal, an open bar, and a photo opportunity with the “Go Loko” recording artist.

I swore I’d never return to the observatory, but BDAY VIBES LIVE CONCERT put that sh*t on and come to F**k with me because here I am. A MAJOR EVENT! He announced the birthday antics in a post on Instagram with the caption, “Tickets on www.4hunnid.com/tour. While this was going on, fans’ reactions to the 32-year-pricey old’s invitation were split between shock and support for the occasion. One fan inquired, “Y’all playing $1,000 for dinner with YG?”

“If I were a die-hard YG fan, I wouldn’t even notice that. Another supporter chimed in, “It’s a gaudy purchase, but that’s a pretty cool experience for a thousand dollars.

YG now joins a long list of famous people who demand a high price for an exclusive encounter with their idol.
Following his One of Them Ones Tour with Lil Baby, Chris Brown held a meet and greet event where he was photographed with fans. The controversial singer, who drew immediate criticism, was adamant that the package was typical — a way to get to know his fans — and that other artists should put more emphasis on it.

“PSA!!! WHEN ARTIST (EVERYONE) DO CONCERTS, they all have something called a VIP PACKAGE,” he said. “I HAVENT DONE MEET AND GREETS IN OVER 7 YEARS… I HAVE THE COOLEST FANS ON THE PLANET .. I APPRECIATE THE F**K OUTTA THEM. THESE ARE MEMORIES THAT WILL LAST WITH THEM FOREVER.”

He continued:

“UNLIKE THE MAJORITY OF THESE POOR ARTIST, WHO WON’T MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH THE PEOPLE WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE TO EVEN HAVE A CAREER. THESE FANS FOUND SOMETHING IN ME I NEVER THOUGHT WAS POSSIBLE, AND THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I EXIST. So I’m going all out for my fans, he wrote at the time in an Instagram story.

Along with Keri Hilson, Mario, and others, Bow Wow also offered a $1,000 VIP experience during his Millennium Tour: Turned Up! Fans had mixed opinions, but he also stood by his asking price. In September, he posted on Twitter, “A lot of you guys are asking what the difference is between Ticketmaster Meet and greets.

“Next is my VIP meet n greets, which were made available yesterday. “Certain floor seat tickets come with the standard meet and greet where you will be able to still meet me and take photos but you WILL NOT get the full experience as my VIP MEET AND GREET HOLDERS… This is a routine photo shoot similar to what we do every day.
