Sonic’s Head A “Second Wave”To New Content in 2023

The producer of Sonic the Hedgehog, Takashi Iizuka, promised more material for fans in 2023. As reported by Video Games Chronicle, Iizuka spoke about the franchise’s busy year across multiple mediums, including the releases of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic Origins, Sonic Frontiers, and the Sonic Prime series on Netflix.

Sonic The Hedgehog Had An Eventful Year

Uncertainty surrounds whether the second wave will contain LEGO’s intended release of five Sonic the Hedgehog kits in 2023. According to the leak, sets will cost between $29.99 and $99.99 and have a variety of piece counts, starting at 292 and rising to 802 for the most expensive item.

Products are allegedly section-based sets, so customers can buy all five to assemble the parts into a complete scenario. According to the reports, the five LEGO sets will debut on August 1, 2023. Sega unveiled Sonic’s Holiday Cheer Suit in Sonic Frontiers for the Christmas season. Additionally, the video game business disclosed a “road map for 2023 content throughout three updates.”
