In professional football, Anton Charles Walkes represented England in the centre back and centre midfield positions. First appearing for Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup, Walkes began his professional career in the Premier League. At the start of 2017, he was sent on loan to Atlanta United. Walkes kicked off his club career with Tottenham Hotspur of the Premier League, with whom he made a single appearance, in the League Cup.
A loan to Atlanta United FC awaited him in 2017. The loan was extended till the end of the 2017 campaign in August. After spending the rest of the 2017–18 season on loan at League One team Portsmouth, Walkes was officially signed by the club for the 2018–19 season in July.
In 2019, he helped Portsmouth capture the EFL Trophy title, he stayed with the club for two more seasons before heading back to Atlanta United in January 2020. Charlotte FC signed him in 2022, and he played there until his death the following year.

How Anton Walkes Died? Our research indicates that on January 19, 2023, Walkes was killed in a watercraft accident in Miami, Florida, where Charlotte FC was holding a 12-day training camp. A soccer player from London was reportedly found unconscious and despite receiving CPR, he died. He was 25.
