Though one online user claimed Nichols dated the ex-girlfriend of a police officer, other users pointed out that she was actually the ex-wife of the officer. The tweet further claimed that Haley had photographed Tyre Nichols and “sent it to his babymama” as Nichols slumped against a car after being assaulted.
One @LisaCampbell102 on Twitter further added to the rumours by tweeting:
“I did some investigating into the #TyreNicols Murder and felt something was off and I was right I’m being told that #TyreNicols Murder was personal (which I felt) and he was sleeping with one of his murders wife “Demetrius Haley” Tyre & the Officer wide worked at FEDEX 2Gather!”
Twitter user @pinkgworlll expressed her anger at the rumours that Nichols was seeing Haley’s ex-wife, and she questioned:
