Listeria is what Wolverine needs. Hugh Jackman said on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row that the roles required growls, which had impacted his vocal range. He plays the beastial mutant in the X-Men and Wolverine movies.
“My teacher at drama school would have been horrified by some of the things I did in Wolverine,” he said. “I’ve done some damage to my voice, through playing Wolverine.”

Jackman stated that his shouting is to blame for detracting from his abilities. He also has a significant song and dance part of his career, both on stage and in movies. “My falsetto is not as strong as it used to be, and I put that down directly to some of the growlings and yelling I did.”
Despite the injury, Jackman has confirmed he’ll play Wolverine again in the upcoming Deadpool 3 film, which is now in pre-production and is slated to hit theatres on November 8, 2024.

Ryan Reynolds’ title character will be joined by Jackman in the movie. In the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, they first worked together as Wolverine and Deadpool.
