Pia Wurtzbach, a former Miss Universe, deserves congratulations after announcing on May 5 that she had wed her fiancé Jeremy Jauncey.
The Filipina-German model posted a sweet video to Instagram of her beach wedding to Jauncey, the CEO and creator of the media company Beautiful Destinations, on North Island in Seychelles.
No one else could be seen in the wedding footage, so it’s not immediately obvious if visitors were invited to their private ceremony. The video shows Wurtzbach and Jauncey exchanging vows and cutting their wedding cake while also sharing adorable and humorous moments.

In May 2022, the Filipino beauty queen revealed her engagement and released a touching video of Jauncey proposing while they were on vacation in Palawan.
Wurtzbach won the Miss Universe title in 2015. She may be more well-known for ‘not winning’ Miss Universe 2015 than for really winning it; the pageant’s host, Steve Harvey, is infamous for incorrectly announcing Miss Columbia as the winner in 2015 while Pia, Miss Philippines, had actually taken home the crown.
The global star talked openly about seeking to strike a work-life balance in a late 2020 interview with Gulf News.
“I’m such a workaholic. And I’ve been working every day straight. I didn’t even know what a weekend was before. I realized I’ve been missing birthdays, I’ve been missing weddings, I’ve been missing real-life experiences. Years have passed after Miss Universe, and I barely have any real-life experiences because I’m always at work,” she said. “I realized that’s not a way to live. I need to balance it. I need to spend more time with my loved ones and spend more time with my family, do the things that make me happy rather than just burying my mind or myself at work.”
