An enormous $3 billion lawsuit against actor Dwayne Johnson has just advanced in the courts. One of Hollywood’s most well-known actors, Dwayne Johnson, recently stated that the upcoming live-action remake of Moana will mark his return to The Walt Disney Company. Johnson will reprise his role as the demigod Maui in this subsequent installment of Disney’s live-action adaptation attempts, based on the beloved animation classic of the same name.
This year’s announcement elicited a variety of reactions when it was made. While some praised Disney for returning to the ocean and reuniting with the well-liked Johnson, others denounced the studio’s decision to remake a Disney film that was barely ten years old and questioned whether Johnson’s action was self-serving in light of the Warner Bros. and Black Adam (2022) dispute. Johnson asserted last year that his Black Adam film would save the faltering DC Extended Universe.
In actuality, it appeared to do the latter. Black Adam made a low-key $393 million at the international box office. The struggling superhero property will be reimagined as the DC Universe, or DCU, under the direction of Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, it was announced not long after. Later, claims regarding Black Adam’s financial performance surfaced. Johnson allegedly leaked documents revealing Black Adam’s purported financial performance for DC Studios.

The economic data was hotly disputed. Despite how well-liked he is, the actor has come under fire for acting egotistical and brand-building in his ventures. Johnson has a long history in Hollywood, much like many other wrestlers who have transitioned to working, including John Cena and Dave Bautista. He first gained notoriety during the Attitude Era of the WWF (World Wrestling Federation, now WWE), at which time his ring name, The Rock, rose to prominence among professional wrestlers.
Before returning his role from the franchise in 2002’s The Scorpion King, Johnson starred in his debut film, The Mummy Returns, in 2001 alongside actors such as Brendan Fraser. Former TNA and WWE star Trenesha Biggers, also known as Rhaka Khan, is suing several wrestlers, including The Rock, organizations like the FBI, and sports figures for $3 billion. Her complaint, which primarily names the people being sued, claims that those named conspired to abduct her and her children.
The State of Texas, El Paso Child Protective Services, Las Cruces, New Mexico Police Department, New York Police Department, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, New York ACS, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Shirley Police Department, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Suffolk County, Bank of America, Home Depot, and even the FBI are among the other parties named in the lawsuit.
Despite the $3 billion lawsuit involving Dwayne Johnson languishing in limbo for months, court documents reveal that Biggers fully paid the court costs, enabling the case to proceed. None of the defendants named in the complaint have been served as of the time of publishing. Trenesha Biggers was added to El Paso’s most wanted fugitive list in 2019 due to allegations of child custody and is currently on the department’s wanted list.
