WWE 2K22’s New Trailer Has Leaked Early

A new trailer has been posted early, giving a new glimpse at 2K’s long-in-the-making new wrestling title.

When Will WWE 2k22 Be Released?

WWE 2K22 is scheduled to be rolled out on March 11, 2022, and it will be the first WWE 2K title since the series held off an annual release as a result of the terrible release of WWE 2K20.

WWE 2K20 was an unsatisfactory full debut for developer Visual Concepts, leading in one of the lowest Metacritic scores in 2K’s history, majorly because of a massive number of technical problems during launch.

Back in 2020, in an attempt to carry out a “renewed focus” upon quality, publisher 2K appointed former Double Helix studio head Patrick Gilmore to take charge of WWE 2K.

In a Reddit Q&A in summer 2020, Gilmore penned “Core gameplay is one of the major investments we’re making in the next installment, one of six pillars we are focused on disproportionately in development.”

Adding further “We are looking at much-loved previous games like No Mercy or Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain, along with top franchise installments, and more modern wrestling and fighting games to build an all-new philosophical foundation for the game.”

Late last year, 2K dropped a new trailer for the game, which set out a new control scheme, along with a new dodge button.
