“We’ve just been renewed for a fourth and final season, which we are very delighted about,” co-creators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher stated in a statement in March 2022. “We can’t wait to reveal all the steamy romance and hilarious adventures we have in store for you. Thanks to all our fans for your support – especially you #Bevi and #Daxton stans. We love you!”

What is the Plot of Never Have I Ever Season 3?

“In season 3 of the coming-of-age comedy Never Have I Ever, Indian American teenager Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) continues to struggle with the everyday demands of high school and drama at home, while also navigating new romantic relationships,” the Netflix plot synopsis states. That’s quite (understandably) cryptic, but luckily we have some clues based on where we left up in season 2.

After a hectic nine episodes, season 2 of Never Have I Ever finishes at the winter formal with a number of loose ends. After she and Paxton part up, Devi attends the dance with Eleanor as her date who later switches her for Trent.

Paxton returns to the school grounds just as Devi, dejected and alone, is about to depart. The two share a passionate kiss. They further reignite their passion on the dance floor as the entire school watches — to Ben’s dismay, who laments by the punch bowl.

This has always been him, he explains, “it’s always been him”. His erroneous assumption is promptly refuted by Eleanor. “After you took her to Malibu, she wanted to select you. So, just for the record, it’s not always been him.”

Not everyone is going through it, though. Eve and Fabiola (aka the school’s first-ever Cricket Queen and Queen) have just proclaimed their love for each other, while Kamala made a dash for it at her proposal dinner to spend time with Mr. Kulkarni.

Who Stars in Never Have I Ever Season 3?

In addition to Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, Jaren Lewison, Lee Rodriguez, Ramona Young, Eleanor Wong, Megan Suri, and others from the previous season, the rest of the major cast has returned.

However, based on the latest teaser images, it appears like Season 3 will welcome a newcomer to the cast. Per Collider Anirudh Pisharody will play Des, a private school kid. What specific changes may we expect as a result of his actions? While we can’t say for certain just yet, we have no doubts he will.
