Nathan Lyon, the top cricketer for Australia, has tied the knot with his longtime love, Emma McCarthy. On Sunday night, the pair, who started dating in 2017, announced their engagement on Instagram. Lyon only used the phrase “Mr and Mrs” when he shared a photo from his wedding.
As of this writing, real estate agent McCarthy is now known as Emma Lyon on her social media accounts. She wore a beaded white gown and clasped hands with her new husband, who was dressed in a black suit, as they walked down the aisle. During the wedding photos, they were spotted strolling through an empty field.
Friends and teammates of Lyon, 34, were quick to comment on his wedding Instagram photo. “Beautiful mate congratulations guys,” Alex Carey said, while Josh Inglis wrote, “Congrats guys xxx.” “Happiness is an understatement!! So happy for you two!!” Baxter Holt said.
