Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all 9 years old, as well as Cynthia Peak, 60, Katherine Koonce, and Mike Hill, 61, have been named as the victims by the authorities. The school employed all three of the adults. Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old Nashville resident who was reportedly carrying at least two assault rifles and a handgun, was named by police as the shooter.

“We have also found evidence of detailed maps of the school, including locations of monitoring, entryways, etc. We are aware of this and are confident that they entered the building by firing through one of the doors “explained Drake. The suspect can be seen sh**ting through the glass of the doors and entering the premises in later security footage obtained by the police.
Drake listed two “AR-style weapons”—a rifle and a pistol—along with another handgun—as the weapons used to carry out the sh**ting. According to the police chief, authorities think that two of the firearms may have been purchased legitimately and locally. The three kids had been identified, and their relatives had been informed, Drake said earlier on Monday.
At the time, Drake remarked, “For now I will abstain from mentioning the ages, other than to say that I was literally moved to tears to see this and the kids as they were being hustled out of the building. After the sh**ting, authorities set up a nearby reunion facility where pupils from the school were taken.

The reaction also included special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Following the sh**ting, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee said he was “closely following the awful situation at Covenant” with members of the state’s law enforcement and the highway patrol.
The governor posted on Twitter, saying,
“I am closely monitoring the horrific situation at Covenant, and the @TNDeptofSafety & @TNHighwayPatrol are aiding local law enforcement & first responders at the scene.”

On Monday afternoon, President Joseph Biden made a statement on the incident on television. It is sick, he declared. “It’s terribly sad. According to the White House, Mr. Biden has discussed the sh**ting with both Nashville Mayor John Cooper and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee. In remarks made at the National League of Cities convention, First Lady Jill Biden also mentioned the school sh**ting and expressed her “really without words” state. Biden continued, “Our children deserve better.
“We stand, each and every one of us, in prayer with Nashville.”
