After the release of her most recent album, Endless Summer Vacation, fans who were hoping to see Miley Cyrus on tour should temper their expectations. The Grammy-nominated singer said she’s not sure if she can see herself doing tours anymore, at least not in the near future, in an interview for the latest cover story of British Vogue.
“It’s been a minute,” she remarked. “After my 2014 headline arena performance, I began to approach it more as a query. I am unable to. Not just ‘can’t,’ as ‘can’t’ is your capacity, but also ‘want’. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s fulfillment or enjoyment aside from mine? … making it unclear how to respond to that query.
The “Flowers” singer had previously stated in the interview that she preferred to play for her close friends and family members rather than a large crowd.
“Like singing in front of hundreds of thousands of people isn’t exactly what I adore.” There is no relationship. There is no security.

It’s also not natural, she continued. It’s very lonely because you are by yourself even in front of 100,000 people. Cyrus stated that she is currently present-focused and that her happiness is the emphasis of her life. Cyrus’ final lengthy headlining tour, the Bangerz tour in 2014, had appearances all over the world, including North America, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, and Australia.
Since then, she has only participated in shorter tours, most often at music festivals, including the Milky Milky Milk Tour in 2015, which featured just eight shows, and the Attention Tour in 2022, which featured just five performances. Her most recent studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, came out in March. The album’s lead single, “Flowers,” which was previously published, became the singer’s first chart-topper in almost a decade.
